We’re Launching: Camp Nation Expo
It all starts with an idea. An idea that just keeps hanging around, flitting into your dreams, into your thoughts, into, well, everything.
That's how it started with All Good Equipment, but as our founder, Matt Bettman, shared in his first blog post (click here), bringing that idea into a reality hasn't been a straight line. He had an idea. He had a design. He even built the first trailer…but then he wanted to build another one, just to work out the kinks. Then he wanted to build another one to find out how fast he could build it. Then he wanted to build a lot of them.
All Good Equipment has chosen Camp Nation Expo in Hollister, CA as its "official launch party." It seemed fitting, since it touts itself as the "ultimate gathering for DIY camping and travel enthusiasts, no matter how you roll."
We will be there with our newest trailer…and Matt’s own personal trailer, the second trailer Matt built in his garage (The first one is now owned by friends and is busy in the Sierras this weekend). Why an older trailer? Because we want to share what a well used, well loved trailer looks like. We at AGE believe in creating products that use materials that age well and will be beautiful, and increasingly personal, for years to come. The patina of use is part of the aesthetic.
Since the first trailer was built, many things have happened for All Good Equipment:
The company became, well, a company. Our Operations Director, Karin, has built the structure that is necessary to be able to sell a road worthy trailer.
We opened our shop in San Carlos, CA (come on by if you're in town. We love visitors!)
We enrolled a partner, Matt's brother-in-law, Matt- (yes, another Matt). The Other Matt has taken on the role of production manager and will be overseeing the team that builds the trailers.
We have been demoing our trailers and get rave reviews from those who have taken one out for a spin. On the road, our users get a great night of sleep, an easy straightforward experience, and most of all they come home refreshed and relaxed…how do we know? They can’t stop telling us about their experiences!
Which leads to our final happening, our waiting list…yes, we’ve started taking orders! People who are interested in buying hot-off-the-factory-floor trailers can now get on our waiting list with the first available delivery in late Fall.
